Class Name
Yoga: Elevate + Align

Class Description

In this class the only hierarchy is breath, mindset, then movement.

The pace moves from flowing sequences into long-held postures as it combines the kinetic energy of Vinyasa with the guided challenge of an alignment-based practice. Each week we’ll highlight a specific posture, exploring a few variations available to us and how we can prepare our bodies and minds for a journey into the unfamiliar. As we approach the edge of our comfort zones, where potential is transformed into growth, we’ll practice harnessing tools like self-awareness, autonomy and resilience both on and off the mat. This class is suitable for all levels of experience.

Bio

Jade is passionate about mental health and inspired by our increased capacity to experience our thoughts and emotions with awareness and grace as we practice mindful embodiment.

Her Yoga journey began 10+ years ago and, like many who start the journey, a calling to deepen her knowledge led to completion of a 200hr Yoga teacher training. After teaching for five years, a fascination with the intersections between science and Yoga philosophy, coupled with her commitment to helping others benefit from a safe, integrated practice, prompted pursuit of a 500hr certification.

Stepping into the seat of the teacher allows her to support our community as we each strive to align our day-to-day lifestyle with our holistic well-being. Her intention is to encourage the process of discovery, provide new pathways to awareness and inspire insight.

Hi, I’m Tal. A self-growth student, adventure seeker & yoga teacher. I’m a crystal-loving, chakra balancing, and wine drinking bookworm, who loves nature and loves to teach how to transform your life on-and-off-the-mat with a holistic yoga practice.

Yoga & Meditation found me when I needed them the most, and through my passion am helping others find the transformational energy that helped me in my healing process and journey. I take a holistic body-mind-soul approach in my teachings that are both light-hearted and deep-rooted.

Bianca’s first introduction to yoga was in a kid’s class she took when she was 12 years old. From there, she practised on and off, becoming more serious about her practice when she started as a karma student here, at Breathe, in 2017.

She became interested in completing her teacher training as a way to learn more about the physical practice, as well as the philosophical and spiritual aspects of yoga. She is very excited to have the opportunity to teach, especially at a studio she loves!

Gina was introduced to yoga in 1997. Her friend shared a Bryan Kest video with her; yes VHS while while she was teaching elementary grades in the school system. After practicing for a while she noticed how much peace she felt within. Gina wanted everyone to feel this way and asked for a leave of absence to take a yoga teacher training course.

She became a yoga teacher in 2002 and opened up a yoga studio and ran it with the help of her mom for 15 years. She took several more trainings and now teaches 200 hr and 300 hr Yoga Alliance recognized trainings. After travelling to India in 2015, 2016 and 2018. Gina was given the blessing from her Teacher and was Authorized  as a Level 1 Ashtanga Teacher.

Gina’s love and passion to share the benefits of yoga has only strengthened over the years because of her personal practice. experiences and commitment to self-care. Watching others learn and grow from what yoga has to offer is also something that ignites her desire to share the the many layers of this ancient system called YOGA .

Mindfulness Meditation – 45 minute class

This class is for new and experienced meditators alike.  Mindfulness Meditation classes will be guided and will also include time for less guided time towards the end of the class.  The final 15 minutes will be silent where you can stay with your own breath or you can spend that time journaling and then end in a restful Shavasana. If you wish to journal please bring your supplies.   Most people find they become cold during meditation so please consider bringing a sweater and some socks.  The studio has blankets and bolsters.  If you have your own meditation pillow please bring it along.  You are free to dress for comfort.  For some that may be yoga or leisure wear and for others jeans.  It is entirely up to you!  We look forward to the collective energy of the class that often arises as we meditate in community.

Restorative Yoga  – 60 minute class

This class is suitable for practitioners of all levels.  It is a restful practice where we will hold yoga poses for longer durations of 5 minutes up to 15 minutes per pose.  We use props to provide support for deep relaxation, stillness is a powerful practice.   You will be guided through each pose without rush!  The studio has blankets and bolsters and blocks to provide support during each pose.  If you wish to bring a meditation pillow, eye pillow and more blankets you are welcome to do so.  Please bring your yoga mat and dress for comfort.

Certified 200RYT & Yoga Nidra

Hi! I’m Elle! I truly believe in the benefits of yoga and meditation and want to help others experience the beauty of these practices.

I started my yoga practice in 2015. I wanted to try something new, find more calmness and build strength. I wasn’t expecting it to lead me down a path that also gave me so much growth and awareness, allowing me to find inner peace and learning to deal better with my emotions and my life situations. I am eternally grateful to my practice and the things it has taught me. It has made me stronger physically, mentally and emotionally, and that is what I hope to share with others.

I have 2 beautiful children. I love food, reading, running, traveling and being outdoors. I make natural bath and body products. I love finding silence and stillness and connecting in yoga, breath, and with nature. I really look forward to sharing and connecting with you all ☺️🙏♥️
